About categories
A Category is a group of clients that only some employees may see — for example the clients of a special program, or clients who are also staff members. An employee assigned to a Category (System › Employees) sees and finds only the clients of that Category, everywhere in PsyTrace. Employees without a Category see every client.
The categories themselves are a lookup table (, Com_L_Category).
Putting a client in a Category
- With the client on the main screen: . The window shows the client's current category, if any.
- Read the warning: from now on the client is seen only by employees of the same Category (and by those without one).
- Choose the Category and save.
Taking a client out of a Category
, then confirm. The client is visible to everybody again.
Users who have a Category do not see this menu item: they cannot move clients in or out. New clients registered by such a user are filed in her/his Category automatically.
Every change is recorded in the audit trail.
