About alerts

Mental health organizations sometimes care for people who may be dangerous, must be kept away from someone they abused, or must not have an appointment at the same time as their victim. Alerts warn everyone who works with the client.

Example: Joe Abuser is in anger management and has been violent toward Jane Abused. An alert on Joe's record — "Do not schedule at the same time as Jane Abused" — makes sure nobody books them together.

Entering an alert

  1. Click a line of the Alerts list (or No Alerts) › New Alert.
  2. Entered By is you. Leave Active ticked while the alert applies.
  3. Contact (List) and Phone: whom to call about it, if anyone.
  4. Note: the warning itself, short and clear. Import Note Text adds one of your pre-defined notes.
  5. Click Save.

PsyTrace checks

  • The alert needs its text (the description).

No longer applies? Edit the alert and untick Active rather than leaving an old warning on the list.
