Alissa M. Gino, LMHC, CSAC
Alissa Gino serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Gino Behavioral Health
and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Substance Abuse
Counselor (CSAC), and International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor
(ICADC). With extensive experience in behavioral health, program development,
and clinical leadership, she is dedicated to improving access to high-quality
mental health and substance use disorder treatment throughout Hawaiʻi.
Since entering the field, Alissa has worked with individuals and families
facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, addiction, depression,
anxiety, severe and persistent mental illness, homelessness, and involvement
with the criminal justice system. Her clinical approach is compassionate,
practical, and goal-oriented, helping clients identify their strengths
while developing the tools needed to achieve lasting recovery and improved
well-being.
Alissa is especially passionate about supporting women and mothers affected
by substance use disorders. She understands that recovery often requires
addressing not only addiction, but also trauma, family relationships,
parenting challenges, and the many barriers that can prevent women from
accessing care. She is committed to helping mothers heal, strengthen their
families, and build stable, healthy futures for themselves and their children.
Her work is guided by the belief that when a mother recovers, entire families
and communities benefit.
In her role as COO, Alissa oversees organizational operations, compliance,
quality improvement initiatives, and program development. She works closely
with clinical and administrative teams to ensure services are delivered with
excellence, integrity, and a strong commitment to client outcomes. She is
particularly passionate about developing innovative programs that address the
complex needs of underserved populations and creating pathways to recovery,
stability, and long-term success.
In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Alissa continues to provide
direct counseling services and clinical supervision. She believes that
meaningful change happens when individuals are met with respect,
accountability, and genuine support. Her work is driven by a commitment
to helping people build healthier lives, strengthen their families, and
reach their full potential.
When she is not working, Alissa enjoys spending time with her children,
advocating for mental health awareness, and supporting initiatives that
improve the health and well-being of Hawaiʻi’s communities.
